This past Sunday, Reel Big Fish and The Expendables took to the Ace of Spades stage with one goal and one goal only... to party!
The beer was flowing and the weed was burning, as The Expendables stepped on stage. Playing a mixture of both reggae and rock, The Expendables put on a show that set them apart from your average, run of the mill, reggae/rock artist. Their cohesiveness as a band showed as they transitioned from song to song, while still being able to connect with the crowd. Everyone screaming and shouting each lyric back, as if they were singing in their own bedroom with no one watching. It was a amazing experience to watch and we here at Grey Fox Live would "High"ly recommend checking them out when they come to your town!
As for Reel Big Fish, What is there not to say? The kings of ska music themselves stormed the stage with a barrage of trumpet sounds and an energy so high it was infectious. From the first pluck of the guitar, you knew that the party was just getting started. Breaking out songs like "Everyone Else is An Asshole" and "Brown Eyed Girl", Reel Big Fish teleported you back to the days of sitting on the floor playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater on the Nintendo 64. It was a rush of excitement and nostalgia watching Reel Big Fish perform. They were a family on stage and it could be felt around the venue. You knew that this was something that you never wanted to take for-granted. Sadly the show had to come to an end. But the party will never stop. So let us be the first to welcome you to THE BEER RUN of life! Hope you like to party!
