San Jose, CA native band "Castaway" is taking the hardcore scene by the balls. Their unique sound and passionate lyrics make them one of our choices for the top 10 upcoming bands of 2017!
Castaway consists of band members Nick Worthington (Vocals), Jon Banks (Guitar/Vocals), Ben Klein (Guitar), Trevor Johnson (Bass/Vocals), and Tony Stultz (Drums). Back in 2015 they released their album "No Comfort", which took the hardcore scene by storm! With bone chilling lyrics like " I understand this world can make you feel alone, a cloud that follows you wherever you roam. I may never find a home but at least I can say that I love his life, I wouldn't change a thing!" you know just how passionate they are about there music!
In our brief interview with Castaway, when asked about the band's beginnings and goals, Vocalist Nick Worthington replied:
“Speaking for myself personally, Castaway was started as a way for us to play the music we liked for people, but also as a way for me to write/sing about the things that I was feeling at that point in my life.”
He then went on to say:
“I think our sole reason was because we just wanted to write/play music as our release, but also just wanted to have a good time playing shows with/for our friends.”
That is exactly what they have done. They have shown time and time again, that they put their heart and soul into their music. With each new tour comes a new energy and passion, that is shown in each and every one of their shows. Going to a Castaway show is like going to a family reunion (If your family spontaneously breaks into a wall of death of course). You know that when you go to a Castaway show, you are going to have a amazing time.
